My Story
As for my younger years, I was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer at 17 years old. My Mother had also been diagnosed with breast cancer and lost her battle way too soon. Being a young woman and losing my mother was an extreme loss, and I'm sure my tummy took most of the stress and sadness. I spent years navigating my way through medications, and testing. Long story short, thankfully, I was able to stop taking medications 15 years ago. I still have struggles but continually respect and treat my body mindfully and try to nourish my self on the inside not just through food, but by including practices that bring balance into my life. I believe we have to treat our whole body inside and out. I believe what my dear friend always said...

I truly want to convey that I have had my own experience with digestive health issues in the past. Even as recent as earlier this year, I decided to explore the health of my gut lining, and decided to do a detox/gut repair on my own. It did help me immensely, especially in identifying what foods work for my body and which foods caused me discomfort. Or created a reaction shortly after consuming a meal.
